It may take up to 24 hours to process reports of abuse and neglect made through the web-based internet reporting process. If you believe the allegation of abuse/neglect you are reporting requires action in less than 24 hours, please contact your local sheriff's department. After your report has been received it will be forwarded to the proper authorities for investigation. You may be contacted by the investigators involved in the case. For investigatory purposes and allocation of resources, TDA will inspect only formal complaints filed by a person with first-hand knowledge of the livestock conditions. It is important to note that once filed, information contained in the complaint will at some point become public record and cannot be held confidential. Any complaints filed by a third party will be considered anonymous and will not be processed through this online system.

NOTE: It is a felony in Tennessee to present a false or baseless complaint regarding an animal cruelty matter.
